GSA Representative, Mitch McDonald

Mitch graduated with his BS in Engineering Psychology from the United States Military Academy, Westpoint. He completed his M.S. in Engineering Management at Missouri University of Science and Technology. He is now a second year graduate student in the Human Factors and Applied Cognition program here at NCSU.  He is currently working under Dr. Anne McLaughlin in the Learning, Aging, Cognition and Ergonomics (LACE) lab. As an active Army officer his research interests include human-computer interaction related to his specialty of combat engineering in the Army. His current study involves understanding the cognitive demand placed on an individual through auditory and visual distractions and how they adversely affect learning in a complex environment.
